Who took my trophies out of Home?

There are a lot of critiques to be made about PS Home, but this one seems to be so obvious that everyone is forgetting about it. Remember back to the original trailers of Home from E3 when they showcased the “Hall of Fame” and actually being able to have a interactive trophy room within your own homespace? If you don’t remember, maybe this will help you…

There are many things that are misleading about this picture: 1) Flow hasn’t receive any trophy support (lame… that was my first PSN purchase, give it some love!) 2)LocoRoco is also in the picture!  I originally took this to mean that PSP games could be linked to your PSN account and would receive trophy support.  It’s a great idea, and would encourage more people that have a PS3 to venture into the portable gaming world.

However, as far as Home goes, it seems like it would be a no brainer to have as much Trophy integration as possible.  SFIV took the right steps in linking trophies you unlock within the game to clothing items you unlock within Home.  Is this a sign of things to come from developers? Yes, I think so.  Sony won’t make this mandatory, but people will start seeing that some games you get “more for your money” out of them, especially if these people actively “live” within the Home environments.

Come on Sony, keep your promises.  Xi is cool, but follow through with the things you’ve been teasing for over a year.  At least give me a shelf to hang my 17 platinums on!

*UPDATE*

Apparently the Singstar trophy list that just got released within the past week also comes with unlockables for Home

It's wonderful to read about a female poet coming of age in this era, especially with Anne Sexton as a mentor for a short while, but so many other poetic luminaries as well. I'm also finding it encouraging to know, being 38 myself, that one can jumpstart her career at this age. Thank you for this inspiring interview, Julie Kane. http://Like-Acer.com
