I couldn't give a rats arse. I play my games on a Ps3 and I enjoy it. I go over to my mates and we play his xbox 360 and we enjoy it. Some games look better on mine, some look better on his, but seriously, games like KZ2 and uncharted look damn great against Gears of war 2. I do feel that the Devs should build each machines game from the ground up, or just port them better, or make them first on Ps3 and then port them to the xbox 360.

There's not a single PS3 game out that could not be done on the 360, especially graphics wise.

No matter what anyone says, the 360 has the better graphics card and better RAM setup, so it will ALWAYS have games that look better than those on the PS3.

Gears 2s graphics > anything on the PS3.

Even with 360s year lead and ease of programming, PS3 and it's games have already surpassed 360. Basically if you want the best games its PS3

Your data is so wrong its not even funny. Forza is 60 FPS, and GT5P is not running at 1080P native it is being stretched. Do some research first!

The answer to your question is easy and you are reffering it on your post: porting. If the code was originally built on the XBox and then ported to the PS3, the XBox version will look better, have no doubt in that.
The other reason for multiplat games being better on the XBox is the hardware architecture. Programmers need to have very specific knowledge for the PS3 and Sony internal studios do have this knowledge and share it between them. PCs have been around for years and the XBox is exactly that: a PC.

Multiplatform games run worse on the ps3 because it is slightly more difficult to code for. As a result, studios who aren't especially good with the ps3 cell arch. and parallel programming produce bad games. However naughty dog for example, knows what they are doing.
When studios program the 360 version and then port it to the ps3 version the ps3 version often takes a blow in quality.
However when studios do it the other way around, the performance is much more balanced.

The reason developers aren't constantly taking advantage of the power of the ps3 is because they don't all know how to. Some people do: ThatGameCompany(flower), Sucker Punch (infamous), etc etc, but just look at haze and lair. Some just don't have a grip on the system their coding for.

I have both the PS3 and Xbox 360. After having to send my 10th xbox360 in for repairs I will confidently say that the PS3 is the better console. Even though the game library is not as robust on the PS3, games like Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2 and Uncharted look much better then anything on the Xbox 360. Also the free online gaming is a huge plus in my book.
