God Of War Collection Release Delayed

A mass email was just sent out to everyone who pre-ordered the God Of War Collection via Amazon.com detailing a delay of the product’s release.  Here is the text from the email.

Hello from Amazon.com.

We have received new release date information related to your pre-ordered video game in the order you placed on XXX 2009 (Order# XXXX). The release date for the video game listed below has been changed by the publisher, and we want to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date:

“God of War: Collection”

Release date: November 17 2009

-

Apparently there has been cause to push the titile’s release back another week.  Personally it does not bother me, it will simply give me more time to play other titles that I’m backlogged in.  But it is a shame, because this is another week longer that I won’t be able to play the God of War 3 demo voucher that is included with the disc!  Apparently no one want to release the same week as Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2.  Can you blame them really?

I doubt very much that MW2 is the reason for the delay. Besides, as far as intimidation goes, the only reason MW2 is launching next month instead of this is to avoid Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

    HA!
i guess sony arent as ballsy as they want you to believe.

LOL - at least the PS3 has some EXCLUSIVE games this year. Microsoft are so scared of Gran Turismo 5 they're refusing to release anything between now and 2011 - ROFL!

    huh?
SPC and crackdown 2 look bloody awesome.

More awesome than Heavy Rain, MAG, God Of War 3, White Knight Chronicles, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Final Fantasy XIV, Gran Turismo 5 and Ratchet & Clank???
  • Will
You forgot White Knight Chronicles 2, and the Agent, and all the MMOs that are coming exclusive

Its not on the disc, its a download.
  • Will
thanks, that slipped through the cracks, the voucher comes WITH the disc though

I dont think its MW 2 that they are all being pushed back, the games like this one, but the crowded amount of games, where they want all of them to be spread apart to all sell a fair amount. Anyway, I dont know what makes MW 2 so special, to me, its just overhyped, like call of duty 4, but World at War was a good game.
